Product Review: Jackson Galaxy’s Storm Soother

We’ve heard tell of spirit essences and it’s positive effects on frightened pooches.

But what are Spirit Essences all about?

They are “vibrational essences, meaning they are remedies that are infused with the energy from natural elements like flowers and gem stones”, and can be traced back to the 1930s, where one Dr. Edward Bach developed and pioneered a new form of therapy using flower essences.

We found a pooch that suffers from anxiety before and during storms and her perplexed human who were willing to give Jackson Galaxy’s Spirit Essence – Storm Soother a try!

A little bit about the product:

Jackson Galaxy (you may know him as the face of Animal Planet’s hit show My Cat From Hell) partnered with a holistic veterinarian, one Dr. Jean Hofve to create a product that provides remedy for certain behavioral issues that our pets could be experiencing. The result – Jackson Galaxy Spirit Essences™.

They have been revered by pet parents around the world to be a safe and gentle method of facilitating behavioral change in their pets.
Spirit Essences Storm Soother

Made with flower and plant extracts, and reiki energy (energy believed to have healing purposes, and endorsed by Galaxy himself), Jackson Galaxy’s Storm Soother “works in two distinct ways”:

It addresses the acute sensitivity animals feel to both electric and barometric changes in the environment, so it can be used as a maintenance formula all storm season long.

It also works to help ground them during the worst of the storm when unexpected sights and sounds throw their sense of territorial comfort upside down.

How to use Jackson Galaxy’s Spirit Essences?

1/ Put a few drops in your hand, rub hands together and pet your animal’s head, body, ears, and/or paws.

2/ Add 3-5 drops to water and food, or simply apply on your pet (Remember more drops does not equal better results)

3/ Use our optional spray top to mist a room, carrier, bedding, car interior, litterbox area, stall, trailer, or other specific problem area. Misting the house or apartment is a great way to treat the whole household. (Do not mist the animal directly!)

4/ Apply a few drops to or mist a favorite toy.

5/ If they resist touch, let the drops fall directly on fur, top of paws, etc.

Check out this video of Jackson Galaxy himself demonstrating ways in which you can apply the spirit essence.

But how effective can spirit essences really be?

We’re sure some of you may be skeptical, so, in this week’s blog, we put Jackson Galaxy’s Storm Soother to the test:

Q: How did your dog fare after the first application of Storm Soother?

A: After appli[cation], she paused for a moment and [seemed] okay. She then walk[ed] around the living room begging for more food as if nothing happened! She [could even] play with her ball!

Q: How did you use Storm Soother on Wabby?

A: I only needed one application, I used approximately 5 drops, rubbed it on my hand and applied on her neck and body.

Q: How did you find the spirit essence? Did it work for you?

A: Yes, [Storm Soother] worked for Wabby! If it rains, we apply [it] on her, [and] she would stop for a moment and then become normal again! She relax[s], doesn’t pace around and is able to sleep.

Skepticism aside, that smile on Wabby’s face tells it all.
